Betty Louise Jackson, 91, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Daviess County Care Center in Gallatin, MO. Her graveside funeral services will be held 10:30AM, Monday, July 27, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty, MO. Betty was born on January 25, 1929 in Vandalia, MO to Albert E. and Blanche Marie Tinsley Phillips. She grew up and attended school in Vandalia, MO, graduating high school from Mexico, MO. Betty married Robert W. (Tony) Jackson on August 12, 1950. Betty and Tony began their married life in Mexico, MO. They moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1959 where Tony was employed with TWA. When they returned from Saudi Arabia, they made their home in Liberty, MO while raising their 4 children. Betty was employed by the US Department of Immigration and later by the Clay County Department of Health. They later returned to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia staying until Tony’s retirement. Betty enjoyed playing the piano, bridge, sewing and her many friends. She was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church. Survivors include Terry (David) Bomgardner, Toni Allen, Trudy (Edward) McEver and Robbie (Leesa) Jackson. Grandchildren include: Kristen Bomgardner, Jamie Bomgardner and Tim Bomgardner, Andrew Allen, Louise Nguyen and Eric Allen, Emma Jones, Jake McEver, Katie McEver-Hill, Heath McEver and Delree Whitehead and Barbara Jackson and Anne Jackson along with seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Phillips Livers of Vandalia, MO; brother Larry Phillips and wife Elsie of Aurora, IL; sister- in-law Virginia Phillips of Surprise, AZ; brother-in-law Earl Jackson (Mina Lou Moore) of Bethlehem, PA and sister-in-law Jeanette Jackson Thompson, of Columbia; nieces Julie Peterson and Gayle Jones and many additional nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert and her brother, Ronnie.
