Jackson, Samuel L.

March 14, 1945 — June 21, 2022

Samuel L. Jackson, 77, passed away June 21, 2022.  We are here today to honor the memory of Sam Jackson or Sammy as he was known to many of us. He was a Veteran of the US Army and served in the 'American war" in Vietnam. He was a husband, father, and grandfather. He retired in 2008, from his career as a Restaurant Manager, for health reasons. He loved to fish, hunt, ride a bicycle and play slots at the casino. Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Owens and his brothers. He was survived by his wife of 48 years, Gail Jackson, their daughter Jaime Tanis, son in law Chris, and grandchildren, Brian, Kelsey, Rachel, and great grand children Myla and Saylor. And he will be sadly missed by all.

Visitation will be 12PM, with services to follow at 1PM, Friday, June 24 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
