James P. Johnson passed away on May 11th at the age of 86. James was a man of faith and proudly served his country as a Lance Corporal for the United States Marines.

He is survived by his daughter, Arline Walker, Doris J. Johnson, his sisters Thelma Minor and Mary Elizabeth Byrd and many nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his daughter, Doris Devine Johnson, his son, James Dwayne Johnson, his parents Fred and Mary Elizabeth Johnson and his brothers: Fred, Floyd and Henry Johnson.

Graveside services will begin promptly at 1:30 Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd., Leavenworth, KS 66048). United States Marine Corp Military Honors will be held at approximately 1:50pm. Friends and family wishing to attend should gather at the cemetery office at 1:15pm

Family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.
