Jazzlynn Marie “Silas” Testerman of Kansas City, MO, born on October 7th, 1999, passed away at KU Medical Center of Kansas City, KS with family at her bedside on March 25th, 2023. She is dearly loved and missed by her family.
She is survived by her parents and bonus parents, father James Ernest Testerman, mother Brandy Lynn Johnson; bonus mom Charity Lynn Testerman and bonus dad Jason Raymond Johnson; sisters Summer Testerman and Jolynn East, brothers James Testerman Junior, Brandon Testerman and Jason MJ Johnson; grandparents Darlene Busey, Tim Farnsworth, great grandma Alice Roxburg; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
Jazzlynn was an intelligent, funny, creative, loving person. She enjoyed drawing and writing, playing video games, watching cartoons, listening to music, and was a hard worker to be an independent individual. Her grandmother Kelly Farnsworth, preceding her in death, taught Jazzlynn how to make pumpkin pies that she enjoyed so much. She was given the nickname Binky as a baby by her grandfather Fred Busey, also preceding her in death; and went by Silas at the time of her passing.
Jazzlynn was an organ donor and is now a HERO for her gift that will give hope and share life. She was also saved and accepted Jesus at a young age and will receive the gift of eternal life in heaven for her sacrifice. Family has asked that donations to be made in Jazzlynn’s name to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at AFSP.org, and please register to become an organ donor at organdonor.gov.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64138. A visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
