We remember, Jenita Rena Smoot Bradley Holbrook, whose Spirit departed from us
on May 18th, 2024 at the age of 43. Jenita, a beacon of unwavering friendship,
undeniable inspiration, and kindness has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who
were fortunate enough to know her. Though Nita's time with us was brief, the depth of
love and happiness she shared with us will forever remain in our hearts.
Mrs. Holbrook was predeceased by Mother, Jan A. Bradley, Father, James Davis
Smoot Jr., Brothers, Nathaniel A. Smith Bradley, Sean L. Smith Bradley, and Sister,
Freda Kay Kilgore, along with loving aunts ,uncles, and cousins who still live within our
prayers and hearts forevermore.
Jenita is survived by Husband, Mr. Dorion J. Holbrook, Daughters, Gabrielle M.
Holbrook and, Aaliyah M. Holbrook. Sisters, Jamie N. Bradley, Shylisa M. Smoot- Webb and,
Dierdre L. Smoot. Jenita's life was a testament to strength and resilience. Her accomplishments were
numerous and spoke volumes about her character.
From being the JROTC "Brigade Commander" of Northeast High School, to excelling as
a Varsity Basketball player. Jenita's accomplishments also included, Entrepreneur and
Owner of My BabyCakes LLC., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Pre-K Teacher, devoted
Wife, exceptional Mother and, an exemplary example of fearless independence and
boundless Spirit.
"Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with
heart and soul there is no such thing as separation."
