Linda C. Jenkins

Linda C. Jenkins, 78, passed away October 29, 2022.  Linda was an only child born on August 26, 1944, to Melvin J. Clayton and Wilma M. Atkin of Kansas City, MO. She graduated in 1962 from Southeast High School in Kansas City, MO. On June 13, 1964, she married David Jenkins and had a son Jay Jenkins and daughter, Jodi.

She worked for many years in the travel industry at Black and Veatch. At the age of 70, she retired as an Administrative Assistant for Hallmark Cards. Linda’s greatest loves were her two grandchildren. She would attend anything and give everything she could that involved either one of them. She loved her family and friends near and far and was very good at keeping in touch and being involved in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Jay Jenkins.

Linda will be deeply missed by her surviving family, including her daughter, Jodi Jacobi and her fiancé Andy Rieger; grandson Drew Jacobi and granddaughter Ava Jacobi of Leawood.

Linda was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, who leaves a void in our lives and hearts.

Visitation will be 12PM, with services to follow at 1PM, Friday, November 4 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Strawberry Hill fund supporting mental health care at The University of Kansas Health System. Donations can be made payable to The University of Kansas Health System and mailed to Fund Development, 2330 Shawnee Mission Parkway, mailstop 5004, Westwood, KS 66205 or visit www.kansashealthsystem.com/giving.
