John Fields

John M. Fields, age 73, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO. Born on January 25, 1951, in Lexington, MO, to Edward and Artis (Clevenger) Fields, John grew up in Richmond and graduated from Richmond High School in 1969.

In 1970, John married his high school sweetheart, Donna, and together they built a beautiful life in Liberty, raising their two children Greg and Jennifer. He worked as a supervisor at Mid Continent Tool and Molding before he and Donna started Fields’ Cleaning Company.

John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering encouragement to follow one’s dreams. He shared his love of hunting and fishing with his family, creating cherished memories and a legacy of appreciation for the outdoors.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Edward (1999) and Artis (2008) Fields, of Richmond, MO.

He is survived by his beloved wife Donna (Wyse) Fields of Liberty, MO; son Greg Fields (Kimberly) of Liberty, MO; daughter Jennifer Bajkowski (Anthony) of Grain Valley, MO; four grandchildren: Shawn Fields (Lawson, MO), Hunter Bajkowski (Kirstin) of Centerview, MO, Katara Fields (Liberty, MO), and Jessica Stephens (Nick) of Grain Valley, MO; three great-grandsons: Warren Bajkowski, Aiden Stephens, and Mason Stephens; siblings: Danny Fields (Ripley, OH), Margie Claypole (Liberty, MO), Marilyn Keller (Independence, MO), and Cathy Fields (Liberty, MO).

A visitation to honor John’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on January 14, 2025, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel in Liberty, MO, followed by a service at 2 p.m. He will then be taken in procession for burial at Glenridge Cemetery in Liberty, Missouri.

The family suggests donations be made to Liberty Animal Shelter in John’s memory.
