Daniel Robert Johnson, 63, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at his home in the Kansas City Northland.

Danny was born March 19, 1959, in North Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Hamilton, MO where he graduated from high school. Danny later received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from DeVry University. He was united in marriage to Sally Ann Smith on April 27, 1985 in Raytown, MO, and blessed with two daughters and five grandchildren.

At age 20, Danny went to work for Kessinger Hunter at Crown Center and eventually became Director of Operations. His passions included bowling, golf, and in most recent years, his grandchildren were his world.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Louise Johnson; step-mother, Norma Mae Johnson; and brother, Donald Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sally; children, Brittnay Marie Frates (Jamie) and Mallory Ann Woodroof (Kyle); grandchildren, Alexander Frates (13), August Frates (10), Eli Frates (9), Emerson Woodroof (5) and Kip Woodroof (2). Danny also leaves his father, Carl Wilburn Johnson; siblings, Carlton Johnson (Patricia), Carla Leavitt, Chris Johnson (Nep Macale), Tammy Johnson, Trent Johnson and Marissa Castelletto (Anthony); Sally's brothers, Gerald Smith and Russell Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Danny was greatly loved and will be missed by all.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm, followed by a service celebrating Danny's life at 3:00 pm, on Saturday, July 23, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 North State Route 291 (I-35 at State Route 291), Liberty, MO 64068.
