Andrew Edward Jones

Andrew Edward Jones, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to so many, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 24 years old.

Andrew, also known to his friends and family as AJ, Andy, and Drew, was born December 23, 1995, in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. He spent most of his youth moving around as an ‘Army Brat’, something he was quite proud of. As a young boy, Andy grew up in Virginia, Texas, Alabama, England, and Missouri. He graduated from Park Hill High School and was attending Maple Woods Community College.

Drew’s true passion was working with animals, specifically dogs. Immediately following high school, he became a Certified Dog Trainer and was following his dream of a taking care of animals as a Veterinary Assistant. He loved spending time with family and friends, loving on his three dogs, playing video games and anything associated with Marvel and Star Wars.

Andy was Baptized and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty. He was loved and will be sorely missed.

Andrew is survived by his parents Ed and Leigh, and brother Benjamin (Ben); grandparents, Edward Jones, Sharon Kacir, and John Shields; his aunt and uncle Tina and Mike Martin; cousin Cody Martin; and many friends.

A celebration of Andrew’s life will be held for friends and family in the Worship Center at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Visitation will be held from 4:30-6 pm, followed by the funeral service at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020.
