Marla K. Jones

Marla Jones, beloved wife to Greg, loving mother to her son Douglas, and dog mom to her fur babies Storm and Mudsie passed away November 14, 2019.

She was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She cared deeply for all those she knew. Whether she was attending fundraisers, volunteering or spending time with family she brought a sense of purpose, her smile and her sense of humor.

She was a protector of all creatures great and small. She embraced her calling of helping animals with joy and compassion through her chosen career as owner of Precious Paws Pet Sitting and by volunteering at various shelters, rescue groups, and animal support organizations.

She was preceded in death by her infant brother “Little Boy” Daniel W. Starforth, Jr. Those left to mourn her passing are her loving parents, Daniel and Carol Starforth, Sister Susan Hartig and her husband Mike, Sister/sister in law Pamela Jones and her husband/Marla’s brother in law, Terry; Nieces and Nephews Kevin Baar and his wife Amanda, Jeff Baar, Shawn Baar, Scott Boyer and his wife Jessika, and Tracy Riley and her husband Doug. She also leaves behind Great Nieces and Nephews whom she dearly loved: Aubrey, Sierra, Jordan, Makaelin, Leighya, Abram, Bryce, and Layla; and so many more members of her extended family that she deeply cared for.

Her beloved dogs and cats were precious family members. Some that have passed away over the years include Smeedles, Murray, Cruiser, PJ, Blaze, Mama Dog, Tucker, Sylvester, Picasso and Psycho.

Visitation will be held at Parklawn funeral home from 6-8pm Monday Nov 18th. Funeral services will be Tuesday Nov. 19th at 1:00 pm

Visitation will be 6-8PM, Monday, November 18, with services 1PM, Tuesday, November 19, both at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd.; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
