Sally Agnes Rowe Jones

Sally Agnes Rowe Jones, 93, of Liberty, MO, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.

Sally was born March 9, 1928, in Kansas City, MO, the only child of Ivan Doherty Rowe and Elfriede Fischer Rowe. She grew up in Lawrence, KS and graduated from high school there. She later received her Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas. Sally was honored as a 75-year member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.

Sally was united in marriage to Douglas Tom Fields Jones on October 16, 1950. They lived in Lawrence, KS, Lincoln and Bellevue, NE before retiring to Liberty, MO. Tom preceded Sally in death on August 31, 2021.

Sally will be remembered for her keen knowledge on most any subject, working crossword puzzles until the day before she died. She loved nature and volunteered at Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue. Sally was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She treasured her family, friends and neighbors, and will be greatly missed by all.

Sally leaves her sons, Tom Jones (Margaret Brooks) and Mike Jones (Debbie); grandchildren, Sarah Hix (Cory), Tommy Jones (Kevin Egan), Simon Jones, Katie Allenbaugh (Dan), Michael Jones (Lainee Tarbe) and Samantha Jones; great grandchildren, Taylor, Gabriel, Julian, Logan, Landon, Mason, Ethan, Chloe, Payton, Tegegne, Hensley, Fields, and a great grandson due in May 2022.

Private services and interment will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, KS. The family requests no flowers.
