Joseph Wells

Joseph Wells was born January 28, 1956, to James Wells and Matilda Gemes Wells in Kansas City, Missouri.

Joseph was educated in the Kansas City, MO public school system during his elementary years.  He attended Immanuel Lutheran during his junior high years.  Joseph graduated from Bishop Hogan High school, Class of 1974.

Joseph worked for the Kansas City School District.  He also gained his credentials as a Chef.

Joseph was baptized at the Swope Parkway Church of Christ.  Later worshiping at the Hickman Mills Church of Christ.

Joseph was preceded in transitioning by both parents and one sister.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory son, Jeremy J. Norah, Liberty, MO, sister, Mary L. Winn, brother, Edward Wells of Kansas City, MO.  He leaves one granddaughter, Addison Norah; two nieces, Mylan D. Winn, Kansas City, MO and Andrea R. Young, St. Louis, MO; two great nephews, Donnell D. and Gregory S. Winn of Kansas City, MO, and a host of family and friends.

He also leaves, to cherish his memory, a special friend, Shiron F. Campbell.

Joseph passed away June 15, 2023.  He will be truly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Visitation will be 12-1PM, Friday, June 23 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; 1PM graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
