Joyce Ann Gentry

Joyce Ann Gentry, 84, of The Villages, Florida, passed to her heavenly home on the morning of April 10, 2023.

          Joyce was born March 31, 1939, in Lawson, Missouri, the daughter of George L. and Helen M. Green.  Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a brother George; sister Patty Pearl; nephew Garrison and grandson Teven Jack.

          Joyce attended Lawson public schools for 12 years and one year at Drawn’s Professional Academy.  In 1957, she was honored as homecoming queen of her senior class.  In 1959, Joyce was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Bill Gentry, and they were blessed with two children, Tracy and Todd. 

          Survivors include her husband Bill; daughter Tracy (husband Tim) and grandson Tyler; son Todd (wife Kerry) and granddaughter Tyra (husband Drue Hernandez-Warwick). She also leaves Kerry’s sons Jake and Carter and Jake’s son Brock. Joyce was a loving Christian woman who adored her children and grandchildren.

          A celebration of Joyce’s life will begin with visitation at 5:00 pm and services to immediately follow, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Briarcliff Church, 800 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
