Joyce C. Tucking

          Joyce Carolyn Tucking, 71, of Kearney, MO, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2023, at her home.

          Joyce was born January 29, 1952, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Norma Margaret (Dickson) and George Charles Rathburn.  She was united in marriage to Harley J. Tucking on June 11, 1971.  Joyce was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.  

          Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Harley; children, Charles Tucking (Leslie), John Tucking (Shannon), Stephanie Dolinar (C.L. Allen) and Melinda Tucking; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a great grandson due in March, 2024.  She also leaves three siblings, Ron Rathburn, Ken Rathburn, and Jan Gosnell.  Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a great grandson, Austin Baker.  All she did revolved around the family she loved, but she especially enjoyed cooking and entertaining them in her home. 

          Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Sunday, December 17, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO.  Burial will be at a later date in Glenridge Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, you may consider having a tree planted in Joyce’s name.  That service is available at her online obituary at www.parklawnfunerals.com.  Arrangements: Park Lawn Northland Chapel (816) 781-8228.
