JUANITA J. MEEKS
Juanita Joyce Meeks, 92, a longtime Pleasant Valley resident, passed away March 21, 2024, at NorthCare Hospice House with family at her side.
Juanita was born in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and grew up in Elk Ranch, Arkansas, one of six children of Roy Clayton and Lois Erma (Gadd) Gaddy. She was united in marriage to Raymond L. Meeks on January 17, 1953, and they were blessed with two children, Roger and Rhonda.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Raymond; and siblings,Eugene Gaddy, Erma Weston, Lena Jo Gaddy, William “Bob” Gaddy, and Myrtle Marie Gaddy.
Juanita was a baptized member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and a member of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Roger Meeks and Rhonda Kobylinski (Kenneth); grandchildren, Matthew Meeks (John Kritos), Marissa Meeks McAninch (Ben), and Michael Kobylinski (Kelsey); great grandchildren, Mason, Emma, Joshua, Raymond, and Layla; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Juanita’s life at 3:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 27, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will follow at Glenridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Briarcliff Church in her name.
