Louise Keenan

June 24, 1929 — April 11, 2021

Louise Keenan was born June 24, 1929 to Christopher Columbus Keenan Sr. and Mary Louise Keenan in Blaine, Mississippi. She was born into a large family being one of seven children.

Louise moved to Kansas City in 1955. She worked for Lake City Ammunition Plant where she retired after more than 20 years of service.

Louise was a loving mother to four children Vivian, Alivia, Olivia, and Irving.

At the tender age of 14 Louise gave her life to Christ and was baptized in Blaine MS. She later joined Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City where she faithfully served on the Mother’s board.

Louise loved spending time with family and friends. She loved good music, anything from blues to gospel. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed teaching anyone with a willingness to learn.

She leaves to cherish her memory; one brother Henry Keenan (Quetta), two children: Vivian Patterson & Irving Lacy (Grace), six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Louise is preceded in death by; her Mother Mary, Father Christopher Sr., Siblings: Theodore, Christopher Jr., Washington, Marie, Consella. Children: Olivia & Alivia. Grand Children: Jaron & Latonya.

Louise passed from this earth on April 11, 2021. Visitation will be 9AM, with services to follow at 10:30AM, Saturday, April 24 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
