Mildred L. Keene

August 15, 1939 — July 7, 2021

Mildred Louise (Millie) Keene passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born in Elk Creek, Texas County, Missouri to Noah and Eva Ruth Grogan. She graduated from Cabool High School and moved to Springfield and then to Kansas City to continue her education. She retired from the City of Kansas City, Missouri Water Engineering Department after more than 20 years of service.

Millie was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Richard Keene, her parents, a sister Margaret Atkisson of Springfield, Missouri and a sister Barbara Fish of Topeka, Kansas. She leaves to mourn her loving sons Joseph Tristanio of Kansas City, Missouri and Michael Tristanio of Independence, Missouri. She also leaves her sister Carol Eaton (Eugene) of Springfield, Missouri, brother Ronald Grogan of Texas, brother in law Aaron Atkisson of Springfield, Missouri and brother in law and sister in law Pauline and Bobby Cox of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Mildred was a member of Leawood Baptist Church, Navy League and the Military Officers (MOAA) auxiliary. Services will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri 64138. Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021 from 12-1PM, followed by chapel services at 1PM and then graveside services in Green Lawn Cemetery. Contributions will be very gratefully accepted.
