Keith Charles Kellogg of Santa Cruz, CA and lately of Kansas City MO moved on from this earthly plain on September 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents L Wilbur and Dorine B (Keith) Kellogg and recently by his brother-in-law Carl O’Dell.
Keith was born in Duran WI on August 3rd, 1942 and spent most of his early years in Rockford and Caro, MI. After graduating from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a master's degree in clinical social work, he moved to CA and up until the end of his life thought of himself as a “CA boy”.
His life's vocation was to help others and through 66 years as a psychotherapist, almost entirely in private practice, he fulfilled his passion. It's difficult to measure the impact he had on those he helped. He loved his chosen profession.
Keith's other loves were attending the theater, concerts and the opera with friends, meditating, yoga, going for walks, spending time at the beach, reading, and sharing Christmas and other gatherings with family in Truckee, CA and MI and MO.
He was a deeply spiritual person enriching and sharing his beliefs thorough the center for spiritual enlightenment in San Jose and the Self Realization fellowship in Los Angeles, following the teachings of paramahamsa Yogananda.
Keith is survived by his sister Kathryn Kay O'Dell, sister and brother-in-law Dorinda and Fritz McMullen, sister and brother-in-law Lorraine B and Bill Bologna. Having no children of his own, his joy was as the beloved uncle of Gregg and Brian Campbell and Cheri (Campbell) Worsley; Marc and Todd McMullen; Anthony, Nicolas and Elizabeth Bologna; and great uncle to 11 other nieces and nephews.
No words can express our sadness in no longer having the physical presence of our sweet and caring brother and uncle. We will, however, hold in our hearts all the laughter, joy, wisdom and love he showered our lives with. We will be forever grateful for being a part of his journey.
