Keith Arnold Zajic, Sr., 75, passed away May 8, 2024. Keith was born April 30, 1949 to Rudolph (Nick) & Rose Zajic in Kansas City, Mo & married Fredena (Freddie) Selle on December 30, 1965. They were blessed with 2 children, Keith Jr & Wendi. While Keith & Freddie raised their children Keith had many jobs & often worked at least 2 jobs at a time, yet he still managed to receive his GED & enroll in college courses. There was a pause in his education when he was hired by Quick Trip, after working there for some time he was promoted to supervisor & was transferred to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Keith & family lived in Iowa from 1973 until 1976 before returning to Kansas City to work with Jerry Hendrickson at Handy Serve. Afterwards, Keith was able to pursue his lifelong goal to own his own business & be his own boss. He found a small convenience store called Jingle Bells that was for sale, he purchased the property, renamed it Mr Zs N & Out & opened it in August of 1977 at the age of 27, Mr Zs is still open to this day, 47 years later. His dream was fulfilled.
Keith was a generous & loving man, great husband, great but no-nonsense father, a wonderful grand & great grandfather & the ultimate provider for his family. Keith loved traveling & sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs. He was preceded in death by his parents, parent in laws, Fred & Wanda Selle, son Keith Jr, brother-in-law, Butch Selle, sister-in-law, Vickie Selle, sister-in-law, Debbie Napper & 2 nieces. He is survived by his wife, Freddie Zajic, daughter Wendi Patrick, grandchildren, Zak Zajic, Tony Zajic, Mark Salas, Ashley Patrick, Gabe Patrick, Delaney Patrick, 10 great grandchildren, plus 1 great granddaughter due in September, brother, Bob Zajic (Marian) sister-in-law, Sue Selle, Cathy Sexton (Jr), brother-in-law, Ricky Selle (Shirley) & 12 nephews & nieces.
