Kevin "Scooter" Lee Swenson, Jr.

Kevin “Scooter” Lee Swenson, Jr., age 35, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Kansas City Hospice House.

Scooter was born February 7, 1988 at Humana Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas. With good humor he would later refer to being born at the Humane Society. He attended Horton High School where he would graduate and then become a licensed plumber, working as a skilled tradesman in Atchison, KS. In 2015 he moved to Grandview, MO where he joined and remained employed in the family machining business at Commando Products, Inc.

Scooter enjoyed working, fishing, watching the Kansas City Royals, and especially watching the Super Bowl Champs, the Kansas City Chiefs. He had an excellent sense of humor and an often quirky delivery of the facts, according to Scooter, that his family enjoyed with him. 

Scooter was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Lee Swenson, Sr., uncle, Albert Lee Swenson Jr., grandfather, Albert “Al” Lee Swenson, Sr., and grandmother, Thelma Marie (Madsen) Lindsay. 
Scooter is survived by his mother, Janice (and husband Sean) Hagerty; aunt, Karen Swenson, three siblings, Christina (and husband Michael) Weir, Briana Anderson, and Preston (and wife Tyler) Swenson; two step-siblings, Kiera and Aidan Hagerty; two nephews, Lincoln Weir and Cooper Swenson; three nieces, Vivien, Harper, and Adeline Weir.
