Charles Roger Kimmel, 87, of the Kansas City Northland and formerly of the Warsaw, MO area, passed away December 24, 2020 at The Benton House of Tiffany Springs.
Roger was born February 13, 1933, in Sheldon, Iowa, the son of Paul and Mildred (Perkins) Kimmel. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 until receiving honorable discharge as a Corporal in 1955. Roger was a retired Electrician at Ford Motor Company, was a member of the UAW and former member of the American Legion.
Along with his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a son, Jim Kimmel; and brothers, Ronnie and Larry Kimmel. Survivors include a son, Bob Kimmel (Debbie); daughter-in-law, Malana Kimmel; grandchildren, Cassie Rowe (Sterling), Brandon Kimmel (Sara) and Cymon Kimmel (Tony); six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister, Charlotte Apple (Darryl); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
