Jeanette “Jen” Marie (Studna) King

Jeanette (Jen) Studna King was born on November 29, 1971 in Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of the Center School District. She attended Indian Creek Elementary, Center Middle School and graduated from Center High School in 1990.  Jen worked as a payroll clerk for a variety of businesses, everything from chiropractors to construction crews.  She discovered her niche as being the girl in the construction trailer on the work sites taking care of the accounting needs.  She loved making jewelry, in particular, lots of Chiefs jewelry, and working jigsaw puzzles. She also started a gift basket company for a season that unveiled her creativity and bright spirit. Jen passed away at 2:50am on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Allan Studna; her grandmothers, Wilma King and Billie Studna and grandfather, Louis Studna.  Uncles Richard King, Mike Waton, Robert, Scott  Studna, Aunt Trudy King, and her loving cousin Sonya. Jen is survived by her mother, Wilma Studna, husband Felix Childress, grandfather Hollis King, her favorite cousin/sister Lisa James , uncles Gerry King, Curtis King, and Stan Studna, along with many cousins on both her King and Studna families; and dear friends, both near and far.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO 64138. A visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. For those attending, the family is requesting you wear something in pink or Kansas City Chiefs in Jen’s memory. Donations can be made to Wayside Waifs Animal Shelter, one of Jen’s favorite charities.
