I met Gary in August of 2016 when I started working at Midwest Corvettes and Classics. Since then I would look forward to the time that he would spend helping out in the shop or his jokes that always kept us laughing. I am thankful that he stopped by the shop the day before his passing and one of our last conversations was about his Camaro. He will truly be missed by his Family at Midwest Corvettes and Classics.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Gary and I went to school together and graduated in the same class. We were a close group- probably because we were such a small class! I remember his kind, gentle spirit and easy smile. I know your hearts are aching. Rest in His great love and provision. Death is but a doorway we walk through. Love and prayers

I had the good fortune to know Gary. Always loved to be around him. We first met after the Katy and the UP merger. I’ve lived in Boonville for the last19 years or so and Gary always called me “Boonie”. I called him the “New Franklin Flash”. I am deeply saddened by his loss and my heart aches for his family. Another good man gone too soon.

Gary was one of the five amigos when we grew up in New Franklin. My brother Ricky, Leonard Privitt, Mike Offeneer, Gary, and I played many hours together over the years and always had each other's back even when we were temporarily mad at one or the other. Gary's passion for muscle cars started even before he could drive and his first one was a 1968 Chevelle. I remember painting that car for Gary. Seven coats of lacquer paint and black stripes. It shined almost as much as Gary's smile every time he drove it. It is unfortunate how life and time pull friends apart and I wish I could have stayed in touch with Gary. He makes the second amigo gone now and time is sneaking up on the rest of us. Karla, I pray that you and the family fine peace in God's love during this time of lose. Find joy in the memories that will be shared in the next few days and comfort in the private memories you each have of Gary. May God bless you and draw you close.
