Catherine A. Krauss

Catherine Anne (Cousineau) Krauss, 55, of Liberty, MO, joined her Heavenly Father in her eternal home on November 13, 2022.

Cathe was born July 10, 1967, in Gates, New York, the daughter of David William Cousineau and Mary Ann Galligan Cousineau. Cathe graduated from Gates-Chili High School in 1985 and received her Bachelor's degree in nursing in 1991 from Brigham Young University. While at BYU, she met Karl Glen Krauss and they were united in marriage on August 19, 1989, in the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City. They were blessed with three children, Victoria, Blake and Elizabeth. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Cathe worked in before and after care for Kid's Zone in the Liberty Public School District. Prior, Cathe worked many years as an Operating Room Nurse at various hospitals, most recently Liberty Hospital.

Cathe was preceded in death by her father, David W. Cousineau. Survivors include her husband, Karl; children, Victoria Krauss, Blake Krauss and Elizabeth Krauss; mother, Mary Ann Cousineau; siblings, Karen Cumella, Paul Kilbury, Susan Smiroldo (Patrick), David Cousineau (MariJo) and Daniel Cousineau (Mark); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a service celebrating Cathe's life at 11:30 AM, on Saturday, November 19, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6751 NE 70th Street, Kansas City, MO 64119.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Down Syndrome Innovations.
