Beverly A. Kuzniakowski

February 10, 1938 — September 15, 2018

Beverly Ann (Lallum) Kuzniakowski, 80, of Independence, MO, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, on her father's birthday. Beverly (Bev) was born on February 10, 1938 in Ambrose, North Dakota, to Kenneth and Lillian Lallum. She was the third of five children. Beverly married her lifelong love, Joseph (Joe) Kuzniakowski, on May 30, 1964. Joe remembers, "I fell in love with her the first time I saw her". Beverly was an incredibly caring, patient, loving, wonderful wife to Joseph. Her love for her children and grandchildren was obvious to all. She taught her children what unconditional love is, not only by words, but by example. She was absolutely the most selfless, kind, gentle, compassionate, caring and loving wife, mother & grandma there could be. Her broad, beautiful smile and bright blue eyes were always welcoming and complemented her genuine, sweet, heart and soul. She was so proud of each and every one of her children and grandchildren. She attended as many of their sports, dance, music, awards and school functions as she could. Her family was her everything and she was everything to her family. Beverly was an incredible example of selflessness, compassion, strength, love & kindness. She will be deeply missed as a wife, mother & grandma, but will always be deeply loved & remembered.

Beverly grew up in the tiny, rural town of Colgan, North Dakota. She attended the same school most of those years. Upon graduation, she moved to complete secretarial school. She became a secretary at North Dakota State University, in Fargo, ND. It was here she met her husband, Joseph. They lived in British Columbia, Alaska & Calgary, prior to making Independence their home for the past 49 years. It was here they stayed & raised their 3 children. Beverly was a well liked secretary at Truman High School for about 20 years. She was known as "Mrs. Kuz". She excitedly retired to babysit her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending the 1st Presbyterian Church, until her health prevented it. She leaves behind so many wonderful memories that we will embrace.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joseph Kuzniakowski; Children & Spouses: Theresa (Lady) & Roger of Lee's Summit, MO; Randy Kuzniakowski & Adrienne Oliver of Arvada, CO; Craig & Shauna(Crozier) Kuzniakowski of Lee's Summit, MO; Grandchildren: Chaz, Alexandra(Alex) & Zane Lady; and Reese & Tyler Kuzniakowski; Sisters: Muriel Rostad of Minot, ND; Marlene Gerrard of Spring, TX; Brothers: Dale Lallum of Crosby, ND; Lyle Lallum of Helena, MT; and numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Heaven gained a beautiful angel. Beverly will be missed beyond measure.
