Patricia Ann (Shaw) Lassiter

Patricia Ann (Shaw) Lassiter, 90, a resident of Liberty, Missouri of 7 years and former Louisville, Kentucky resident passed away on November 23, 2022. She died peacefully with family around her.

Pat was born December 12, 1931 in Highland, Kansas to Robert and Opal Shaw in the family home. Her brother preceded her in death this year. She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky graduating from Valley High School. She was a devoted housewife after marrying James Riley Lassiter in 1950.

She was a creative person who loved to make her own clothes, paint, cook, and decorate the home for holidays. She was a tireless and remarkable caregiver to many in her family both immediate and extended. She enjoyed spending time with friends and volunteering at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky especially enjoying missions. She was in the Willed Body Program of KU Medical Center.

She and Riley also enjoyed traveling as long as they were able after he retired until his death in 2019.

She loved her family including Riley; children, Mike Lassiter (Debbie) and David Lassiter (Joanne) of Kansas City, MO; 5 grandchildren, Rebekah (Mike) Kentfield of St. Charles, Iowa, Amy (Brandon) Winchester of Omaha, NE, Ben (Allison) Lassiter of Liberty, MO, Joseph Lassiter of Kansas City, MO, and Wesley Lassiter of Kansas City, MO; She had 8 Great grandchildren, Ryley, Nolan, Piper, Ellie, Clayton, Clark, Bennett, and Luke.

The family is planning a private memorial.
