Leo August Ehler

Leo August Ehlers, age 97, died peacefully on 10/7/2024. Leo was born on 1-2-27 in Wine Hill, Ill. To Christine and Rudolph Ehlers. He graduated from high school. He then went on to serve his country, joining the US Army. Leo married Martha Virginia Clark in 1947. He worked as a manager for auto parts stores. He and Martha had 3 daughters, Linda J. Lee (husband Jim), Joyce E. Sickman (Husband bill), and Chris Woodhead ( Husband Jim) He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

 He is preceded in death by wife Martha ( Shirly) Ehlers, sisters Mildred Young, Thelma ward, Alice Milbrandt, brothers Fred Ehlers, Alfred Ehlers, Irvin Ehlers, and Earl Ehlers. Survived by his three daughters and their husbands, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. 

Graveside Services will be 10:00 am Thursday October 10, 2024 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, (150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, KS 66048) with Military Honors
