Lila Elizabeth Kincade, 91, passed away May 30, 2023.
Lila was born in Douglas, NE on December 10, 1931 to William and Alma Lowrey. She moved to Spickard, MO at age 4 with her family and they started farming. She had three brothers Billy (Jane), Donald (Delores), and Galen (Linda).
Lila met Ben Kincade at a skating party and notice his “big blue eyes” at age 18. They got married in September, 1952 and had 2 daughters, Diane and Debbie. They lived in south Kansas City and had many lifelong friends that they traveled with as time went on.
She had many challenges in her life but she always looked on the bright side with a smile! She was the sweetest, loving, kindest woman anyone ever met. She loved her kids, grandkids and great grandchildren! She was close to them all and always said how blessed she was to have such a wonderful family.
Lila worked at Allstate Insurance Company for 20 years and took care of all 4 of their parents as they got older. She was always thinking of others and helping anyone who needed it.
She had so much fun square dancing and traveling with friends to different places. She enjoyed reading, golfing, decorating the house, and pink roses.
They went on many fun vacations and loved taking the grandkids to the beach. They were such great grandparents!
They retired to Bella Vista, AK in 1994 to play golf, making new friends and having fun parties! Everyone always loved her!
In 2015, they moved to Raymore, MO to be closer to her family. She really enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards every week.
She was the best mom ever and had such a loving relationship with our dad. Even our friends would comment on what a loving couple they were. She was the best mom ever!
Survivors include her husband, Ben, and 2 daughters - Diane McCoy and Debbie Kennedy (Doug), 4 grandchildren - Rachelle McBride (Vince), Rodney Day (Jenni), Heath Kennedy (Tabitha) and Phillip Kennedy (Heather) and 9 great grandchildren - Morgan, Connor, Trent, Tyler, Will, Lily, Hudson, Henry and Jack. Galen Lowrey (Linda) is her only surviving brother and many nieces and nephews.
And always remember Mom’s favorite saying “The diet starts Monday!!!”
