James Earl Linck

September 29, 1939 — January 8, 2023

Jim passed peacefully at 83 years young on Jan 8, 2023, joining his beloved wife Carol who passed before him. Jim was a proud son to deceased parents Ruby and Ted, a loving husband to Carol and a role model to his three sons, daughter and six grandchildren. His sense of humor and caring nature were always showing. A zest for life and energetic spirit were his hallmarks. He was independent and full of energy, with a curious mind at every stage of life. As a successful student he worked part time while in school, becoming a skilled draftsman, then entered the Navy where he worked on jet airplane engines. As a motivated youth he was recruited to work for Continental Airlines, then joined General Motors where he worked for over 30 years earning awards and leadership accolades before retiring. His love of cars and planes continued with Top Gun as a favorite movie. He loved his wife’s cooking and satisfied his sweet tooth with favorite chocolate shakes from Chik-fil-A. He enjoyed a wonderful retirement with his sweet wife Carol. They are now together enjoying their next journey. A private memorial will be held.

The family suggests any memorial donations be considered to go to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation at crhcf.org. The family immensely thanks the hospice team and all the love and support of friends and family.
