Linda Gail Liston

Linda Gail Liston, age 79 ended her long battle with Alzheimer’s and died peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024. She was born on November 4th, 1944, in Fort Sill, OK to Francis (Frank) and Ilene Liston.

She graduated from Raytown High School and then continued her education at Central Missouri State, Warrensburg where she met her first husband James W Sebelien and had 2 children. She later went on to marry Steve Jones, who also had 2 children of his own (Marilyn and Russell).

She worked as a mother, homemaker and thereafter held various jobs in secretarial and retail until she retired at age 62.

She was a loving mother who was kind, generous, a great listener and she loved to joke around. Her favorite pastimes included going to the movies, reading about celebrities, dancing in her living room and coin collecting.

Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Frank and Ilene.

She is survived by her daughter Cathy Ford, son Jay Sebelien (Jean), her grandsons Brian Irwin, Jasen Sebelien (Alyssa), Alec Sebelien, her great granddaughters Harper Sebelien, Hallee Sebelien, her sisters Candy VanVliet, Debbie Largo (Ted), her nephew Bob VanVliet (Kelly Minihan), her niece Jennifer Patterson (Lawrence Brewer) and great niece Jerrica Patterson.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct 12th at Park Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12:30, followed by the funeral service at 1:30pm, ending with a graveside service. Immediately following will be a reception at Cathy’s house where all are welcome to celebrate Linda’s life.
