Hella Luise Lindsay

April 11, 1927 — June 2, 2022

Hella Luise Lindsay, 95, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2022. She died at home in Lawson, MO with her husband Dennis at her side.

Hella was born April 11, 1927, in Sommerschenburg, Germany and came to the United States in 1947, later becoming a proud US citizen.

Hella leaves her husband, Dennis Lee Lindsay, of the home; children, Frank A. Vigliaturo (Doris), Robert Vigliaturo (Karen), Gerald Vigliaturo, Dennis Wayne Lindsay (Kim) and Cheryl Abercrombie; 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; her sister, Annerose Richard (Dieter), as well as two nieces and their families all in Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luise (Hebig) and Hermann Rabbas and lost two brothers during World War II, Hermann and Heinz.

Hella was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a beautiful lady inside and out and will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 7, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. A service celebrating Hella's life will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 8, at Barry Christian Church, 1500 NW Barry Road, Kansas City, MO 64155. Burial will follow at Barry Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Ararat Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
