Freda Marie Lloyd

Freda Marie Lloyd, age 88, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018.

Freda was born April 21, 1930, in Logan County, Arkansas, to Othel Jesse “O.J.” Looper & Grace Marie Wann Looper.

Freda was a strong and dependable woman who was certainly seen as the matriarch of the family. She placed importance on Holiday gatherings as well as hosting and attending family events.

She surrounded herself in color. Planters filled the home (inside and out) with all of her favorite blooming plants and flowers. She could cook any meal in her kitchen and rarely used recipes. Her impressive handiwork decorated much of her home as she often embroidered tablecloths and pillowcases.

Freda led by example in the area of loyalty. Her family and friends meant everything to her and she will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 72 years, Rex Lloyd; son, Ronald Lloyd; and siblings: Joyce Brown, Wilma Hall, Charles Looper and Paul Looper.

Freda is survived by her children and their spouses: Starlin & Ray Cave; Clayton & Susie Lloyd; and Carter & Sandy Lloyd; siblings and their spouses: Nina & J.B. Cole, Stanley & Modell Looper;  sister-in-law, Ann Looper; grandchildren: Brian Lloyd; Tony & Echo Lloyd; Jenny Cave; and Maddie & John Kamphaus; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Mia, Kelsey, Kace, Kaitlyn, Kylie, Emerson, Thoren and Quinn; and great-great-grandson, Xander.

Visitation will begin at 2pm, followed by a service at 3pm, Saturday, December 15, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest, Kansas City, MO 64138 (816)523-1234.
