Logan Thomas LeBlanc, 16, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away March 11, 2023, at Children’s Mercy Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.
Logan was born December 28, 2006, in North Kansas City, Missouri. He grew up in Liberty and was a Sophomore at Liberty North High School. Logan played football in eighth grade at Heritage Middle School and ninth grade at Liberty North. However, Logan’s passion was baseball and he loved playing for the KC Storm Chasers. Logan was a baptized member of St. James Catholic Church.
Logan leaves his mom and step-dad, Kristi and Jimmy Teegarden, II; dad, Matt LeBlanc; sister, Sydney Rice; grandparents, Marge and Thomas Rice, Laura and Joe LeBlanc, Marilyn and Jim Teegarden; aunts and uncles, Ana and Joe Newell, Diane Babbin, Libby and Brian McSwiney, Donnie LeBlanc and Jackie Teegarden; as well as many cousins, other family members and friends.
The Rosary will be said at 5:00 pm, and visitation will follow from 5:30-7:30 pm on Friday, March 17, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, Missouri. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, March 18, at St. James Catholic Church, 309 South Stewart Road, Liberty. Burial will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House or to the Midwest Transplant Network. Giving in life, Logan also gave the gift of life after he passed as an organ donor.
