Loretta M. Schuster

March 28, 1933 — February 4, 2024

Overland Park, Kansas

On February 4, 2024, at the age of 90, our family lost our sister, aunt and great-aunt, Loretta Mary (Speicher) Schuster.

Loretta was a greeting card artist with Hallmark Cards for most of her career. There she designed charming artwork, traveled for creative inspiration, and made numerous life-long friends. In retirement, Loretta spent many years as a docent for what is now The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures, she gardened, read and traveled. Loretta was funny, appreciated dark humor, and had a wonderful eye for design, color and whimsy. And her love for her family was always apparent in all the things, big and little, that she did for us.

Loretta is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Schuster, and parents, Ellis and Opal (King) Speicher and her many cats over the years. She is survived by her sister, Marguerite Freeman, niece, Jennifer Freeman and great-niece, Charlotte McGreal, all of Kansas City, MO, who all miss her greatly.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, 10:00 am at Forest Hill Cemetery, 6901 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO, 64131.
