Lil, a resident of The Village of Cameron, died December 3, 3021 after a brief illness and with family at her side. During her life she was known as a great cook, an avid gardener, a talented actress in local theatre groups, a bookworm, antique collector and a breeder of Champion Old English Sheepdogs. As a Mother she did it all - packing lunches, acting as a Den Mother, cooking for bake sales, ferrying to dance lessons, piano lessons, Girl Scouts, Little League, basketball games, Cross Country and numerous school functions. Ever present as a booster for her children - showing the love and support that gave each a great start in life and contributed to their success.
Lil was born in Carter County Kentucky, the daughter of Roy and Nancy Jane Sparks Phillips. She is survived by her son Grant and his wife Kathy who cared for her in recent years and through her final illness; her daughter, Cathy of Lexington KY, and son Jeffrey and his wife Patti of Harrodsburg KY. Two special granddaughters who currently serve in the US Navy were her pride and joy - Olivia and Shelbi Lowe. And also survived by her grandson, Spencer and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Amber. She leaves many dear friends at The Village.
We give thanks to Dr. Barton and his Team as well as the Medical team at Cameron Regional Hospital.
