Mary “Mimi” Lynch

Mary Margaret “Mimi” Lynch, 73, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away May 4, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

Mary was born in Kansas City, MO to Gilbert and Margaret (Flynn) Freeouf on December 1, 1948. She attended St. Francis Xavier Elementary and Bishop Hogan High School. She married John “Terry” Lynch of Kansas City, on May 19, 1972.

Preceded in death by her parents and sister Barbara Kies, Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years and four children: Maggie (Jason) Ammerman, Colin (Noel) Lynch, Bridgit (Dez) Ziegenhorn and Katie (Chris) Fox all of Lee’s Summit, and two sisters, Kathleen (Bill) Riley of Kansas City and Judy (Tom) Quanty of Evansville, IN.

Mary was a loving wife and mother, but above all else, she was a devoted and inspiring grandmother to her twelve beloved grandchildren. She took great pride in their accomplishments and was their biggest supporter. She never missed an opportunity to cheer them on or hug them tight.

Mary will be remembered for her generous heart, strong faith, but above all, the significant impact she left on all those she met.

Rosary will be at 6:00pm, followed by Visitation until 8:00pm, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at St. John Francis Regis, 8941 James A. Reed Rd. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Regis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Regis Parish or Kansas City Hospice.
