Lynn Capra

July 19, 1957 — February 5, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lynn Capra, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who left this world on February 5, 2025, in Lee’s Summit, MO. Born on July 19, 1957, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Lynn lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to her family and community.

Lynn devoted 35 years to the dental field, where her kindness and professionalism touched the lives of many. She had a deep love for the holidays, always making them special for those around her, and she found joy in giving back, donating her time to the church and her community. Her faith was her guiding light, and she carried that devotion through every aspect of her life. She especially cherished her time in the Children’s Ministry, spreading the word of God to the youth.

Lynn had many passions. She was a proud supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, cherished time with her family, and enjoyed playing games that brought laughter and togetherness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and M.C. Schlafman; her nephew, Jesse Kurtz; and her beloved dog, Max—all of whom she cherished dearly.

Lynn leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Joe Capra; her sons, Jeremy Capra (Lindsay Capra) and Jason Capra (Jebra Capra); her sister, Carla Johnson (Howard Johnson); and her adored grandsons, Robbie Lasky, Jerzey Capra, Joey Capra, and Jesse Capra.

A service to celebrate Lynn’s life will be held on February 8, 2025, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City, MO 64138. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, with the burial taking place immediately afterward. In honor of Lynn’s love for the Chiefs, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Chiefs gear!

Lynn’s love, warmth, and unwavering faith will continue to shine in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and devotion will live on.

Rest in peace, Lynn. Your light will never fade—Go Chiefs!
