Mary Lou Smith Macey, age 89, passed away August 8th, 2019. Funeral services will be 11:30am, Friday, August 23rd, at Park Lawn Funeral Home. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
Our mother was a stay at home mom who was always there for us. She made our house a home, attended church every Sunday and taught us to love God. We had a comfortable home with homemade meals and a loving atmosphere. She loved to make ceramic figures and in later years she and our father created stained glass art.
She loved family gatherings where we would have fish fries and homemade ice cream.
That kind of lifestyle is slowly disappearing.
Survivors include children: Mike & Barbara, Tim & Tracy, Chris & Sherry; 9 grandchildren: Jennifer, Joanna, Kimberly, Katie, Amanda, Kyle, Jacob, Nicole, Joseph; 14 great grandchildren: Emma, Aubrey, Aiden, Shyanne, Kaitlyn,William, Colby, Bella, Brantley, Asher, Grayson, Johnny, Jett, Patrick, and two new baby great granddaughters on the way.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bill; and her granddaughter Kimberly Macey.
