Nell Nadine Johnson Mansfield, 87, of Kearney, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2022, in the company of family.
Nell was born March 10, 1935 in Bogard, MO, the seventh of eight children of Carl and Zena (Robertson) Auer. Along with her parents, Nell was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis Johnson; second husband, Edgar Mansfield; and six siblings.
Nell worked more than 25 years in the Traffic Department and in the Card Shop for Hallmark Downtown and later in Liberty where she retired. She was a member of McMurry United Methodist Church and later attended Kearney United Methodist Church.
Nell leaves her children, Brenda Ewing (Tom) and Dwayne Johnson; grandchildren, Brandy Davis, Megan McLean, Shala Hoover (Matt), Tiffany Johnson and Jeffrey Johnson; great grandchildren, Braden, Kacie, Korie, Payton, Reid, Campbell and Heston; great-great grandson, Graysen; sister, Carol Messenbrink; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Nell's life at 11:00 am, on Saturday, April 2, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
