Marcia E. Barber

Marcia E. Barber, age 87, passed away July 28, 2024.

Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Friday, August 2, 2024, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be held Thursday evening, at church, from 5-7pm. Private graveside services will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be directed to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 615 SE Todd George Pkwy., Lee's Summit, MO 64063.

Marcia spent most of her life living in Lee's Summit and Kansas City. She enjoyed raising her family and being a grandma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marcia loved watching movies. Her favorites were anything by Disney, or, anything starring John Wayne. Marcia also enjoyed Big Band music and the distinctive sounds of The Rat Pack era. Although she considered 'Love Me Tender" by Elvis Presley as one of her favorite songs, she definitely lived life "her way".  

Marcia is preceded in death by her husband, Ruel Barber.

She is survived by her daughters and their spouses: Cindy and Dennis Barnes and Lori and Kyle Carson; four grandchildren: Matthew Barnes, Michelle England (Aaron), Colton Carson (Clare) and Tanner Carson; seven great grandchildren: Shiloh Barnes, Raena Barnes, Hunter Barnes, Archer Barnes, Selene Barnes, Evelynn England and James DeLong.
