Margaret "Maggie" Ann Pfeiffer

December 7, 1946 — December 28, 2024

Leawood, KS

Margaret (Maggie) Pfeiffer, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, beloved aunt, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family. She leaves behind a life of kindness, generosity and love.

Maggie was preceded in death by her parents John and Eva Heitman; siblings Dorothy, Lester, Charles, Richard Lee, Donald Ray; and beloved grandson Trenton.

She is survived by her devoted husband Mike Pfeiffer; son Chris Pittman and wife Dulcey; daughter Meribeth Boone and husband Troy. She will be deeply missed by her granddaughters Brianna, Taylor, Nina (Zach), Izabella and Eva. She is also survived by her siblings Johnny and Judy, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends who adored her.

Maggie had a heart as big as her love for family. She delighted in hosting gatherings at the house, whether it was by the pool on warm summer days or around the table during holidays. Christmas was especially magical with Maggie: decorating, cooking and creating cherished moments made the season unforgettable for all who shared it with her. Her home was always filled with laughter, warmth and the love that only she could bring.

As a lifelong Kansas City sports fan, Maggie cheered on the Royals and Chiefs, her enthusiasm was contagious and notable always wearing the colors proudly. She also enjoyed the Lake of the Ozarks, it was her sanctuary, a place where she had happy memories.

Maggie’s greatest gift was her ability to care for others. She had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her generosity knew no bounds and her radiant smile could brighten even the darkest days. Her absence leaves a deep void, but her family and friends will carry her spirit with them always, remembering her as a woman who gave endlessly and loved unconditionally.

A Celebration of Maggie’s life will begin at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January, 7. Family and friends may begin visitation at 9:30 at Park Lawn Northland Chapel 1640 North MO 291 Hwy, Liberty, MO 64068. Following the services, Maggie will be driven in procession with her family to Leavenworth National Cemetery 150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048.
