Lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO Marilyn Jean McClain, affectionately known by her family as Jeannie, died peacefully at home on February 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58, years, Jack, her parents Lintz and Delores Jennings and her sister Gwen Batchelor.
She is survived by her three children, Heather (Eddie), Hayley, and Shawn (Sheena), her brother Richard Jennings, as well as her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she also cherished.
She was shaped by her deep faith in the Bible, love for people, especially children, and love of nature. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1974 and for the next 50 years enjoyed sharing her hope for the future with others. She is fondly remembered by all who knew her for her sense of humor and love of everyday adventures. She was self-sacrificing, creative and compassionate. Ask anyone who knew her and they will have you doubled over laughing with a fond memory of Marilyn.
She will be remembered at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1501 NE 65th St, Kansas City, MO 64118 on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 4:00 pm.
