Mark Lagergren

Mark A. Lagergren died peacefully at Delmar Gardens on December 13, 2024, in Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 74. Mark was born July 6, 1950, to Lorraine Titus Lagergren and F. Gilbert Lagergren in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Mark grew up in Southeast Kansas City, graduating from Southeast Hight School and then attending UMKC where he received his Bachelors.  He also received his Eagle Scout. While in College, Mark joined the US Air Force reserve, serving for six years. Following College, Mark worked primarily in the banking and real estate industries until is his final retirement in 2014. Mark enjoyed playing rugby in his 20's and reveling in the team comradery and jumping at the chance to go to Wales for a travel match. Mark was a lifelong hunter and fisherman. After marrying Susan (Marshall) Lagergren, Mark and Susan became passionate about Labrador Retrievers. They joined the KC Retriever Club and enjoyed many years raising, training and competing with their labs as well as lending their expertise to judging field trials. Mark was fond of riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycles, with Susan joining him. Mark put his creativity to work in his home woodshop, making pieces for family and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine and Gilbert.

He is survived by his wife Susan, brother Brent Lagergren, nephews Nathan, and Blain and their families.
