MARY JO DAVIDSON

          Mary Jo (Robinett) Davidson, 71, entered her heavenly home on March 22, 2023, with Duane, her husband of over 50 years, at her side.

          Mary Jo was born July 20, 1951, in Excelsior Springs, MO, the daughter of Joseph and Fern (Cash) Robinett.  She graduated from Kearney High School in 1969.

Mary Jo was united in marriage to Duane A. Davidson on June 10, 1972, and they are blessed with two children and four grandchildren.

          Mary Jo’s career as a Licensed Beautician spanned 45 years at Shear Delight in Liberty.  She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi.  Following retirement, Mary Jo and Duane enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida, and following NASCAR. She also loved gardening and cooking.

          Survivors include her husband, Duane; and children, Stephanie Davis (Tyler) and Stephen Davidson (Sallie). She was Nanny Jo and G-Jo to her four adoring grandchildren, Kaylie Davis, Carson Davis, Brayden Davidson and Brooklynn Davidson. She also leaves friends too many to count.

          Visitation will begin at 9:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Mary Jo’s life at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, March 28, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.

          Remembering Mary Jo’s courageous 12-year battle with breast cancer, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society instead of flowers.
