MARY L. EDDY

          Mary Louise Eddy, 85, of Liberty, MO, passed peacefully on April 20, 2024, at Liberty Hospital with family at her side.

          Mary was born December 13, 1938, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Julius J., and Louise Catherine (Spohn) Hullebusch.  She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Eddy, Jr. on June 4, 1960, and they were blessed with five children.  Bob preceded Mary in death in 2009.

          Mary worked in Production for Smurfit-Stone Container and later in the Cafeteria at Shoal Creek Elementary in Liberty before she retired.  She was a lifelong Catholic and member of St. James parish in Liberty.  

          Survivors include her children, Robert Eddy III (Kimberly), Linda Houghtaling (Dennis deceased), Daniel Eddy (Sandy), Lori Auman (Scott), and Susan Williams (Chris); grandchildren, Robert Eddy IV (Mary), Clayton Eddy (Alix), Randy Eddy (Courtney), Dennis    Houghtaling II (Alyssa), Ryan Houghtaling (Laura), Cameron Eddy (Dani), Dylan Eddy (Eden), Bailey Eddy, Percy Eddy, Ashleigh Robinson (Dan), and Shelby Williams; great grandchildren, Elodie Mae Eddy, Isla June Houghtaling, Wells Dennis Houghtaling, Abigail Ann Robinson, and Oliver Macario Robinson; as well as other family members and friends.

          Visitation will be held from 10-10:45 am, Rosary at 10:45 am, and Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am, on Thursday, April 25, at St. James Catholic Church.   Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. James Catholic Church.
