Mary I. Morrisey

Mary Irene Morrisey, age 61, passed away August 4, 2024, in her home. 

Visitation will be held from 5PM - 7PM, Friday, August 16, 2024, at Park Lawn Chapel. Rosary will be prayed at 6:00PM.

Mary loved Chiefs football. She was such a dedicated fan she was known to secure an Uber and attend the games solo. Chris "Stone Cold" Jones was her favorite player. She gave him that nickname because she got such a kick out of his facial expressions. Mary proudly displayed a framed 8 x 10 of him in her living room. 

All of the other Chiefs memorabilia was kept in special room dedicated to the team.  One of Mary's favorite experiences was going to pre-season football camp in St. Joe with Walt and Zach. They were all delighted to obtain autographs of players. Tyreek Hill was still a Chief at that time.

Mary had the kind of green thumb that most people desire. She could grow exquisite houseplants indoors and she maintained a cutting garden of sorts outdoors. 

Survivors include her sisters: Loretta , Kerry (Rob), Tammy (Marty) and Laura (Marc); and their families; as well as her partner of 30+ years, Denise; and her feline babies: Butters, Powder Poof, and Mr. Silky.

Fly high, Mary. Walt and Zachary are waiting for you.
