Mary K Patterson

          Mary Kizzie (Buckles) Patterson 84, a longtime resident of Liberty, MO, passed away May 28, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospice House.

          Mary was born May 7, 1939, in Centralia, KS, the daughter of Oscar and Blondena (Kugler) Buckles.  She graduated from Centralia High School and later received her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State Teachers College.  She was united in marriage to Willis Clark “Bill” Patterson on June 25, 1966, at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Kansas City, and they were blessed with three sons. 

          Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by three siblings, Floyd Buckles, Billie Scott, and John Buckles. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Willis “Bill” Patterson; sons, Richard C. Patterson (Michelle), William D. Patterson and Robert D. Patterson; and grandchildren, Alexander Patterson and Margaret Patterson.
