Doris Mae Mckee

Doris Mae McKee, age 92, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022, at Parkway Senior Living in Blue Springs, MO.

Memorial services will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138.

Doris was born September 11, 1930, in Knob Noster, MO, to Raymond and Anna (Fockler) Jackson.  Doris graduated from Central High School in 1947. She was a member of Besonea Baptist Church. She was a seamstress for Nelly Don and Mendells.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Orland. They had lived together in the same house in Raytown for 62 years. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Tracy. She cherished her relationship with her  grandson, Joshua Orland McKee.

Doris and Orland never had their own children, and they loved their niece, Linda Lashure, as their own daughter. Linda took exceptional care of them both in their later years and loved them both very much.
