Marjorie L. Mckinney

January 11, 1934 — March 13, 2022

Marjorie L. McKinney, age 88, of Raytown, Missouri, peacefully passed away with her loving son by her side on the morning of Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Kansas City Hospice.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; with burial immediately following in Green Lawn Cemetery.

Born in Kansas City to Lucille Alberta Fisher and Paul Franklin Hudson, Marjorie grew up surrounded by family in Kansas City, Missouri. Blessed with two children, Michael Raymond Davenport and Dennis Lee Davenport, Marjorie then relocated to Southern California where she raised her boys, attended Anaheim Christian Church, and cheered on the California Angels as a season ticket holder with her best friend, Evelyn. After 42 years and a career as a Medical Assistant, Marjorie returned home to the Kansas City area in 1997, just to take up a second career as an Instructional Assistant at Northwood School and eventually retiring for a second time from the Raytown School District. During this time, Marjorie was an active member of Raytown Christian Church, belonged to the Quilt Guild, enjoyed working puzzles, watching Major League Baseball, and classic game shows.

Along with her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband L.C. “Mac,” sister, Deanie Lamp, and son, Michael.

Survived by her son, Dennis, brothers, Paul (JoAnn), and Larry (Carolyn); daughter-in law, Kathryn, six grandchildren, Jennifer Mariolo (Kyle), Shane Davenport (Kathleen), Jason Davenport (Sarah), Kelly Davenport-Baylie (Drew), Shannon Robinson (John), Kayla Bente (Patrick); twelve great grandchildren, Katie Ludwig, Ashton Davenport, Leroy Hansen, Amanda Baylie, Tyler Davenport, Rowan Hansen, Adryna Martinez, Aaron Baylie, Alex Martinez, Gracie Hansen, Hailey Bente, and Addi Mac Hansen; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
