Melba was a great sister in law (sister), with a good sense of humor. We had fun fishing, playing cards, and games and just all around family stuff, always with a positive loving heart. I remember when Larry and Melba were dating we went fishing at Doc's. On the way home she looked over at Larry and said "you want to pull over and make out?" I was in the back seat embarrassed and a little mad they would even think of doing that while I was in the back seat. Her and Larry got a big laugh out of that. Another thing I will never forget is that She and Larry took care of my Mother when she no longer could care for herself. My mom loved being there so much she said if she had known it was going to be this good she would have moved in earlier. If you were talking with Melba and telling her something obvious She would come back with her signature response of "Ya Think?" Melba, You will be missed!

I remember as a little girl thinking Melba was the prettiest lady I had ever met. She always smelled so good and had the best smile. She loved her family more than anything. We had the best time when Larry and Melba came to visit us in Phoenix. I’m so sad she is gone but I know her and Larry are together again. Love you Melba. Xoxo

So many great memories staying at Melba's (and Larry's) house and visiting all of our KC family. We referred to their house as "Jordan's Bed and Breakfast". Everyone was always so welcoming and accommodating. We always looked forward to her scrumptious chicken and noodles - best in the world! Nothing mattered more to her than family, and she was so full of love. Melba will be greatly missed. Much love and big hugs to all the family.

Aunt Melba was one of the kindest, welcoming, loving, and compassionate people I knew. I’ll never forget her cheery spirit, caring nature, or contagious laugh. I always loved staying with her when we would come up to Missouri for holidays. She was loved by all and she will be missed so dearly. May she rest in peace alongside Uncle Larry.
